Harry a Roma, senza Meghan e Archie, per una partita di polo per beneficienza

Il principe Harry, Duca di Sussex, si è recato al Polo Club di Roma per giocare una partita di Polo, organizzata dall'associazione omonima che si prende cura dei bambini malati di Hiv in Sudafrica.

Per il Duca Harry quest è stato il primo impegno da solo dopo la nascita del royal baby Archie, ma non è la prima volta che un membro della famiglia reale britannica è ospite del Polo Club di Roma, e nel 1951 il duca Filippo di Edimburgo giocò una partita nello stesso circolo romano.

Questa partita serve per raccogliere fondi, organizzata dalla Sentebale, l'associazione fondata dallo stesso duca nel 2006 per aiutare i bambini del Lesotho e di altri Paesi dell'Africa del sud malati di Aids.  Un tema molto caro ad Harry, che segue le orme della principessa Diana, e non è un caso che la parola della fondazione "Sentebale" significa "per non dimenticare".

I 400 selezionatissimi invitati / paganti (da 150 euro in su il biglietto) il duca Harry, all'Acqua Acetosa sul campo del Roma Polo Club, il più antico dei circoli sportivi in Italia, con la sua squadra Us Polo ha vinto 9 a 6, segnando anche 3 gol.

Today The Duke of Sussex played in the ninth annual @Sentebale ISPS Handa Polo Cup, held for the first time in Rome, Italy, to raise funds and awareness for Sentebale’s work supporting children and young people affected by HIV in southern Africa. Co- founded by The Duke of Sussex in 2006 with Prince Seeiso, @Sentabale has worked for over a decade in Lesotho, Botswana and Malawi to address the mental health and wellbeing of children and young people affected by HIV, providing them with the tools, peer networks, and education to lead healthy and productive lives. Eastern and southern Africa remain the regions most affected by the HIV epidemic - accounting for 45% of the world’s HIV infections. Lesotho and Botswana have the second and third highest infection rate of HIV in the world – with children often too afraid to access the life-saving treatment and care available, because there is still too much associated stigma. Sentebale’s core programme supporting children living with HIV reaches over 4,600 children and young people each month who are coming to terms with living with HIV through monthly Saturday clubs at local healthcare facilities, and 1,700 youth through residential week-long camps in Lesotho and Botswana. Last year alone, Sentebale’s youth volunteers aged between 18 and 24 delivered sexual and reproductive health education, including topics on HIV prevention in schools and communities to over 100,000 of their peers in Lesotho. Il principe Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia operato per un tumore, sta già a casa e sta bene

Il principe Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia è stata nuovamente operato per togliere un tumore al setto nasale che si era già presentato qualche anno fa.

Dopo il primo intervento di qualche tempo fa purtroppo il male si è ripresentato, e il principe Emanuele Filiberto di Savoia è stato ricoverato d’urgenza.
L'operazione è andato bene ed ora il Principe di Savoia è già a casa in convalescenza.

Era stato lui stesso su Facebook a comunicare la notizia dell’intervento chirurgico pubblicando la foto del suo braccio nel letto d’ospedale e scrivendo :
"Non è mia abitudine ma anticipo le speculazioni... Oggi mi rifaccio operare dello stesso problema che avevo avuto qualche anno fa... e che non voglio nominare. 
Tutto andrà bene!
Ho il morale e sono fiducioso!
Vi abbraccio."

Uscito dall'ospedale Emanuele Filiberto ha scritto su facebook :
"Grazie col cuore per tutti i vostri messaggi . Mi hanno dato forza e coraggio. 
Sono tornato a casa e sto bene ! 
Qualche giorno di riposo poi... Avanti tutta!”
